Generally, frost refers to a condition in which the air temperature at a height of 1.2 meters above the ground reaches zero or below zero degrees Celsius, but from the point of view of agricultural meteorology, frost refers to the occurrence of low temperatures to the extent that it leads to damage to plant tissues. This type of frost is different according to the critical temperatures for each type of product. In other words, frostbite refers to the occurrence of a sudden drop in temperature outside the expected time (premature cold). In better words, the main cause of damage caused by cold can be considered temperature stress. This stress includes chilling stress and freezing stress.
